📂 The project strengthens its commitment to Open Science, expanding its Zenodo community with datasets, publications, and training materials accessible to all.
Transparency and accessibility are at the heart of PERSEUS’s scientific mission. In line with the European Commission’s Open Science principles, the project has established a vibrant PERSEUS community on Zenodo, which now hosts 17 curated datasets, 12 peer-reviewed publications, and several open-access training resources.
The PERSEUS Zenodo repository serves as a living library of the project’s scientific outputs. It gathers data from all work packages — from the synthesis and characterisation of 2D materials, to biological validation, safety testing, and modelling for clinical translation. Each dataset is meticulously documented according to FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) principles, ensuring that external researchers can explore, reproduce, and build upon PERSEUS findings.
Among the newly uploaded resources are high-resolution microscopy datasets, nanomaterial interaction studies, and computational models for predicting cellular uptake and toxicity — all designed to accelerate cross-disciplinary collaboration between chemists, physicists, and biomedical researchers. The collection also includes data underlying recent journal publications, ensuring transparent linkage between experiments and published results.
The open repository supports the broader European ambition of making research outputs reusable beyond the lifetime of the project. By providing persistent identifiers (DOIs), clear metadata, and version control, the Zenodo platform ensures long-term visibility and accessibility of PERSEUS outcomes. The project’s data management strategy — combining Zenodo with internal repositories and institutional archives — guarantees that information remains available to both the scientific community and future innovation initiatives in nanomedicine.
This achievement reflects a wider cultural shift promoted by PERSEUS: fostering responsible data sharing, reproducibility, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Open Science is not only a regulatory requirement but also a value deeply embedded in the project’s ethos — promoting transparency, inclusivity, and trust in European research.
With its expanding Zenodo community, PERSEUS stands as a model for how EU research projects can make data a shared public good, supporting both scientific progress and societal benefit.
